Biosphere corporation released its first disinfectant wet wipes able to kill viruses

According to scientific studies results, new product kills bacteria and viruses, including polio, flu, measles, hepatitis and SARS-CoV-2, which causes COVID-19.

Hand and surface disinfectants became extremely important during the pandemic period, when we need to pay even more attention to personal hygiene, especially in public places, in transport and in contact with sick people to protect against COVID-19.

In the consumers’ pockets today one may find many tools for skin protection. Let us try to understand the difference: antibacterial wipes neutralize the bacteria that we meet during the day, while using disinfectant wipes lead to the death of both bacteria and viruses.

“Smile Sterill Bio is a disinfectant and biocide. Disinfectant properties are based on special solution for wet wipes which contains 70% isopropyl alcohol and 0.3% benzalkonium chloride.

“There are many cosmetics and antibacterial solutions on Ukrainian market today that counteract bacteria and are a great option for daily use. However, disinfectants for personal use were very rare. Smile Sterill Bio combines the pocket format of wet wipes with the disinfectant properties of liquid alcohols. The product is recommended for use in cases of contact with contaminated and presumably contaminated surfaces, contact with patients with viral infections, visits to public places, transport and medical facilities, for disinfection of various surfaces and hand skin. In addition to alcohol, the solution also contains aloe extract, which moisturizes and softens the skin.

To prove the effectiveness of combating bacteria and viruses of different types, Smile Sterill Bio was researched in Ukraine and EU.

• Bactericidal and fungicidal properties confirmed in the State Institution “Marzeyev Institute of Public Health of National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine”. Virucidal properties confirmed in the State Institution “Gromashevsky Institute of Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases of National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine”.
• European studies were conducted according to 8 microbiological standards, which were successfully confirmed by laboratories in Poland and Greece in accordance with the EU requirements for biocides (EU Biocidal Products Regulation).
• The product was registered in Ukrainian State Register of Disinfectants (Order of 27.11.2020 №2748).
